Why do people seem to be so shy or scared about getting aids/hiv test? because they are scared of getting a positive test. the mind set of "if i dont acknowledge it, it cant hurt me" ignorance is bliss. That old Egyptian river disease. Denial. (couldn't happen to me). Usually due to the stigma attached to the disease. There is a common misconception that only gay men and drug addicts have it. People might not want others to assume that they fit into these categories and so will not even seek the test. |
