i have read this.....alot of times...i don't think your friend has anything to worry about okay ..honestly.....even if the syringe was reused but i doubt it...it would have mixed with her blood and also it would be positive not negative....

Why would they reuse a syringe? That's crazy. She should probably have another test in about 6 months to make sure she wasn't infected if a syringe was reused.

Just about the only people I know that reuse syringes and needles and share them with others are drug users. Anyone in a clinic or hospital setting does not reuse needles or syringes. There should be a recepticle in each room and as soon as the needle and syringe unit is used, it is disposed intact in the room. Gone are the days when glass syringes and resharpened needles were sterilized and used again.

they're breaking the law if they reuse a syringe. They throw out the old ones into the 'sharps' container. If you see someone trying to reuse, make a fuss
