How much is an average HIV test? |
How much is an average HIV test? If you join the ARMY you get them free every 6 months. Your question peaked my curiosity so I did a little research. It appears that HIV or HIV/STD testing is available for costs that range from FREE at some clinics to less than $100. MANY clinics offer free testing. there is always free testing if you live anywhere near a major city, you can most often find HIV tests for free. Even if you are not gay, there are many groups and centers that perform testing at no cost (they are paid for by local governments), although they are usually focused on the gay community, they welcome everyone. They usually perform a questionaire and an oral test that takes between 30 and 45 minutes to complete. Get a hold of the red cross and they will be able to get you in hold of a free clinic in your area where you can be tested. |
