Are Dental Hygenists required to take HIV test to continue to practice?

If they don't, they certainly should. Most health care people, nurses and doctors do.

I think most people in health care are required once a year.

I know for a Dental Assistant, if they should get stuck with a used needle . It is required that they get tested right a way , then in 6 months . I would think the same would be for a Dental Hygienist, although they usually have very little contact with needles.

In Australia they are required to be tested once a year, same as doctors and some other health professions.
