10 points

HIV is diagnosed with a blood test. AIDS is diagnosed when a patient is HIV positive and meets certain criteria- they develop certain diseases that are associated with a weakened immune system such as infections, cancers etc. So a blood test for HIV will detect if you are positive for the virus but the person must meet the criteria which define AIDS (known as AIDS defining illness).

Ok, look. AIDS is when you are already sick. HIV is when you test positive for the virus. First comes HIV positive, then after 6 months to a year without treatment, you'll probably develop AIDS. Your question is like saying, I have a cough and a fever and I'm sneezing all day long, when will I get a cold.

Yeah becuase the test tests for the anitbodies, so yeah, it should
