How many does an HIV test ELISA take to complete? |
How many does an HIV test ELISA take to complete? the ELISA test takes a day or more to accurately get the initial diagnosis, if found positive the blood is then put to the Western Blot test. Most ASOs now offer OraSure/OraQuik HIV testing which can give results in 15 minutes. These results still would have to be put through the Western Blot to verify the positive results. CDC recommends getting tested at 13 weeks after your last at risk sexual encounter, although testing can generally been done at 6-8 weeks. |
