Ok..... oral hiv test....?

what does everyone think.. its the only one ive had done i wonder how effective it is?

The oral HIV test is equally accurate to the standard HIV blood test. All HIV tests have the potential for false positive and false negative results, but they are rare. It is far more rare to get a false positive than a false negative.

As already mentioned, the key to a more accurate test is when you take it. HIV tests detect special cells, called antibodies, that are only present in a person who is HIV positive. The longer the person has HIV, the more antibodies the body makes. If you test too soon you may get a false negative result if the body hasn't had sufficient time to make enough antibodies.

If you took the oral HIV test and allowed a few months time inbetween any risky behavior you should see an accurate result. If the result is positive, you need to confirm with a doctor who will do a special blood test that has the highest accuracy. The most accurate test is very expensive and is only used to confirm a positive result. It is not covered by insurances unless a person has already had a positive standard HIV test because of it's high expense. Last time I checked the price tag on this particular test was around $1,000.

Good luck!

Trust me it is a lot easier than taking those damn blood test. Also nowdays results are more quicker.

98.7 percent the same as a blood draw

Quick, easy and accurate. Just make sure to do them 3 months after your last sexual encounter and not 30 days. You get false negatives easily that way.
