Hpv and Hiv testing are they the same test.? As a healthcare provider I can tell you that they are very different tests for very different diseases. HIV is a bloodtest. HPV can only be tested in females and is usually done with a PAP test since it requires a vaginal /cervical swab. (And having HPV does not predispose you to a high risk of HIV. It predisposes you to a high risk of cervical cancer). We now have a great immunization against HPV........I'm trying to get as many girls to get it as I can. No. No! Very different indeed.
