Elisa Blood test for Hiv - 3months after sexual exposure negative. Is any further elisa blood test required? |
Three months after sexual exposure a elisa blood test for Hiv done which tested negative. there are no other signs or disorder.. Is any other blood test required or should we consider that the person concerned is normal and HIv negative. Sorry but Leogirl's info is incorrect. With today's testing about 90% of people tested at the 3 month mark; their results are conclusive. A few year's ago the CDC recommended testing at 3, 6 and 12 months. It can take up to a year for the antibodies to show up in infected blood. I wouldn't say the person should think they're in the clear until they've been tested every three months for a year. If you have tested conclusively negative after 12 weeks than you are conclusively negative. No further testing is required. Yes i think so.....bit if u really want to make sure ... u can go 4 PCR test............ |
