Elifa test for HIV + ? |
Hi, If the test is negative and the patient may have been exposed to HIV,it is wise to test again in six months. The negative result simply mean that the antibodies to HIV are not yet produced.Elisa tests antibodies in the patient serum. If the test is positive,The test is repeated. If the second test is positive,Then western blot test is performed. This six month period is called window period,in which a person is exposed to Hiv,but has not developed antibodies to the virus yet. ask him to test again.I think it won create more problem |
