If a person did sex with unknown woman then after how much time do he require 2 go for HIV test 2 check status

I mean how much time does it take to spread HIV virus. Is it possible to find if a person is infected by HIV virus on next day after unsecured sex with an unknown woman?

Seroconversion, or the point at which HIV antibodies are detectable in the blood, occurs after 3 months for 50% of the population and 6 months for 90%.

Getting tested the next day would not provide an accurate result for HIV status. There may be new methods for testing that are more sensitive, but they are also less accurate. For standard ELISA/Western Blot tests, 3-6 months after infection is the rule of thumb for detection.

I think you need to wait a few weeks for the virus to be detected, I dont think its possible the day after, however I believe that you can take drugs the day after that reduce the risk of HIV if you have had unprotected sex with a carrier.

Hi It is 3 months later to get tested. But you should go to the doctors as soon as possible cause there are some pills that thay can give that can lesson the chances of catching the virus. I'm not sure where you are living but here are some phone numbers in Toronto there is Hassel Free clinic phone number 416-922-0603 and there is Shout Clinic 416-927-8553 the shout clinic gives free medication but I think you have to be 24 and under. The Hassel Free clinic can give you a prescription and also after 3 months you can get a rapid hiv test and thay can give you your results within a few minutes. It is way better to do it that way then have to wait 2-3 weeks for results. Or anywhere you go ask for the rapid hiv test also anywhere you go tell them the situation and tell them about the pills you heard you can take sorry I don't remember the name of them. it can take as long as 90 days for the virus to be detectable. doesn't hurt to get tested ASAP and you def. should that is a life altering situation/condition.

The window peroid is3 month for HIV. If some one i infected it will show up 90% of the time after 30 day, 94-96% after 60 days and 99.6% after 90 days. There is alway a .4% chace that it could take longer. SO go get tested and retest in 3 months.
