Should take HIV test? |
I was exposed to risk 3 years ago. I had a test which shown negative. Then I was so busy and forgot to take the retest. During last 3 years, I've had no symptom as described over the internet. Of course, sometimes, I had a minor cold which I recovered naturally. But nothing like serious symptoms. However, until 3 months ago, I was exposed to risk again. I was really nervous this time. My sex partner is a decent one and doesn't look like that sort of person. I know this doesn't not prove anything. THe thing that made me worried is that we jumped to each other too soon and now I feel everything is so easy. I really scare. SHould I go test again? it's almost 3 months' time. Am I still in window time or taking the test is ok now? Yes, it is unlikely, but if you have no markers now, you will be deemed free of HIV. just to make you feel more at ease...take the test again......... For your own peace of mind yes. I would go just for peace of mind. Some people do not have symptoms. But why just keep worrying about it. yes No. Give it to as many as you can. We need population control. It depends what test you took then. It used to be that the test was 99% certain after six months, and almost as certain after three months. However, new tests are pretty certain after two weeks. |
