Will a blood test reveal if one's affected with HIV or should proper HIV tests be done?

Are blood group and HIV two different things? if a person is afected by HIV will the blood group change or will it still show the earlier o+ , A+ etc.

Your blood group never changes and a test for blood group wont show hiv infection. The test for hiv is a specific test that you have take seperately.

blood group shoulkd stay the same and blood tests should show up hiv if it is there, just make sure when u r gettin ur bloods taken that ur dr or nurse knows u want to be tested for hiv

No you have to have the actual HIV blood test. They specifically test for HIV. In a regualr blood test they are just looking for your type and rh factor. most tests run on the bloos are condition specific. Unfortunately they cant just run a full panel on ones blood everytime its taken for tests.
