Rapid HIV test?

has anyone here had a rapid test done? Are they accurate?

Well, while you can get the test done in a matter of minutes, they're not all that accurate. In fact you may get a heart attack because the reading comes back false-positive. I've had it happen to me but then I had taken the western-bloc and a few others to make sure that I wasn't infected. I wasn't (Thank God -- Whew) but taking the rapid only increased the amount of stress waiting for the results of the more intense testing to bear results. Better to practice safe sex and take the more advanced testing several times within a years' span to make sure.
