There is a test that you could take a home, and it says to prick your finger to get a blood sample. But I'm a bit afraid to prick my finger. I was wondering if there was another spot on the body to get a blood sample or than the finger. Is there a reason why you're to prick your finger? It's still the correct blood sample no matter what part of the body it comes from, right?

I do HIV testing and when I run a test similar to what you are talking about it is easiest to clean the finger, prick it with the Lanette, draw a drop of blood, using a gauze wipe to blood away and the press again to get a few drops of blood for the collection.

BUT I would suggest going to a clinic or HIV/AIDS service organization to get tested, some have a test that you run a paddle across your gum in your mouth and can get the necessary sample. And these places are usually free, and totally confidential.
