Why there are some HIV test was failed to detect the virus after a recent exposure to HIV?

Currently, blood test are available to screen for the AIDS virus. Although these tests are very effective in detectnig the virus, they fail if the virus has been contracted recently.

not only that but some strains of HIV are very hard to detect someone i know (i live in ohio) Had gotten HIV and had tests done and all came back negative come to find out it was a strain that came from california odd huh??

HIV doesn't show up in blood test's until about 6 months....maybe longer....

You answered your own question, HIV has to go through an incubation period first. It might take years before you can find out if you have AIDS or not, this is the reason that after you think you have been infected, you have to continue testing every six months until it ca be detected. Anyone that has had unprotected sex can have HIV and not know for years as I said before, that is why so many people keep getting AIDS. So protect yourself or abstain.

because they can also create a faults positive if done 2 soon

Get tested as few times and at different labs. I had to have a test every three months for a year after being exposed at work. Stick with it if a Dr.doesn't listen to you find one who will it is your health and this is serious.
