Hiv test taken at 22 months from? |
exposer . I been tested alot of times with 20 min test and also blood tests and naat and rna and dna and westernblots all negatives. Can I say i'm out of the woods YES...you don't have HIV. HIV rna PCR is the best test to take because it can detect HIV even a week after infection (It is an antigen test). while the ELISA and Western Blot , you need to repeat it after 6 months (because it is an antibody test) Try again in 6 months. Virus takes a max of 6 months to appear on tests/blood. They suggest that you repeat the test every 6 months. Technically it can stay dormant in your body for a while before it pops out. I understand. If you've already waited 6 months and retested I would say yeah, just me and my opinion tho. I'm not a big believer in the over the counter methods, so I hope one of those was done at a Doc's office. A test is considered accurate at 3 months post-exposure in over 99.5% of all people. The remaining fraction of a percent account for people with other severe and obvious illnesses affecting their immue system ie some cancer treatments, transplant anti-rejection drugs etc.... These people may take up to 6 months to test positive The only question I have is have you used condoms every time you have had sex? If you have then after 3 months you have a true answer. IF not you need to test, use condoms every time you have sex and retest in three months. Then you will have a true picture of your status. |
