Pcr hiv test,i had unprotected sex with a friend of mines dec 15 2007?

i took the pcr test and antibody test 27 days later which is 4 weeks later.i been told the pcr is good after 28 days i miss it by one day.can anybody tell me how good is this pcr test.

It's OK as far as what it is but if you think you have HIV/AIDS you need to go to the doctors and get the blood profile test done. This will leave no doubt.

Normally you would test at 3 months and again in 3 months.

Hiv is not the particular. 27 would be fine. The PCR is not normally used for testing, but it is the best test to take early. It is really acurate, and I would feel confident with that, but don't stop there. I would take an anti-body test around 6-9 wks, and then you would have a more conclusive answer. Good Luck.
