Hiv/std test question?

I am going to planned parenthood tomorrow for hiv/std test. I am kind of scared, can someone tell me what the appointment will be like?

Also how long do I have to wait until I find out my results? Thanks

hiv is 20 minutes til result if its rapid test..finger prick or a blood test takeswich week or two, stds take a week or two

The test itself will not be bad but the wait will probably be the worst part for you.
You will have blood drawn & possibly a swab collected but it depend on what tests they are planning on doing.

Actaully, they should have the instant HIV test. Most planned parenthoods have them now. Its almost like a home pregnancy test. They prick your finger and put your blood on the stick. Results show up in 15 minutes :) I
If you are getting a pap...they wont test you for all stds unless they see a sore or something that doesnt belong. Paps usually take 1 to 2 weeks. If it is abnormal, they will have you come in for further testing (HPV, which is VERY common these days, can make you have an abnormal pap). If you dont already have it, make sure to get that gardasil vaccine. You dont want cancer :)
