Hiv antibodies test? |
My blood was collected yesterday for an HIV antibodies test (I think it is antibodies not another test). How does the test work in terms of the number of times they test the blood sample? What I mean is if the first time they test it results in positive do they do additional tests on the same sample without collecting from me again hence delaying the results? The reason I ask is because it's been more than 24 hours since my blood was collected and I haven't heard back from my doctor. Earlier blood test results were shared within 24 hours. Thanks. Thanks to everyone who answered my question. The results were delayed because, I guess, the doctor ordered Hepatitis and other blood tests along with HIV. All of them were non-reactive which I am assuming means negative. Most labs have a protocol to repeat a test and run more than one type of test before calling a positive. well hopefully you are not infected because if you were and samples are in 24 hours they would have reached soon as possible. and it was very brave of you to get tested best of luck either or. you should get the results by tomorrow yes, dude, u are right. |
