What is the HIV DUO TEST?

please tell me what is the hiv duo test? is it a confirmatory test to detect hiv? when can one go for this test is one is doubtful that he is exposed to hiv germs.
i had gone for a malaria test to a lab but the technician had blood stained gloves and the tip of the needle had touched the gloves before he inserted the needle into my vein. i noticed this while he was removing the needle from my vein

It could be a combo test to detect antibodies to HIV1+2. The other option is a follow up confirmation test to rule out any kind of cross reaction in the first test. None HIV screening test is 100%.

To the blood stain gloves on the technicians : I can not believe that the gloves were blood stained before he stuck you. If so please inform his boss asap. and make a report.

Not sure, but it could mean a test for both HIV Type-1 and
Type-2 at the same time.
