How often do you get checked for STD's and whe was the last time you recieved an HIV test ?

Ladies - its every 6 months
Men - you should go every 3 months

as for HIV test , everyone should get them every 8 months

I see nothing wrong with topic > I wish people showed more support to this topic .Why all the discretion when It can save a life ?

I go every 6 months or if in doubt over anything, i do this partly coz of my work as an educator & respect for myself & would be partners.

i've never gotten laid in my life so i'm fine

That is not your business!

In a commited relationship, so it has been quite a while. I don't cheat so it's all good.

none of your business

I've never had a STD test. However, I've taken plenty of Pregnancy tests. Especially since I joined Yahoo Answers.

Well they ran the full gammit when I was pregnant..that was last year.

I don't inject myself with needles or sleep around, so I don't have a reason to get tested.

once a year... i've been with the same partner for like 4 years... so i don't see why it matters that much...

I dont f.... around so I don't need one

i don't inject drug's only have sex with my partner,So i get checked up every 6mths at the family planning clinic..I have had the same partner for 17years so i don,t need a HIV test but they are routine in the UK with every blood test..

You are so nosey.

March 20, 2007

well i haven't been sexually active in sometime...but when i was i did practice safe sex, stick to one partner and get tested often...too....... ;)

How often do you get checked for STD's
-once a year.-

When was the last time you received an HIV test ?
-About 2 weeks ago. (negative, they were all negative)-

I got an HIV test in March 2005.

i get one after every new conquest..no sex no point sex with the same person fo a while no point except if you think thier cheating it's a good way of catching em atcualy lol i got the clyde from a whore once well a an ex girlfreind who happened to be a whore

when i go to the obgyn is when i get tested.. its the responsible thing to do..

its the responsible thing to do if you are sexually active..

good question..

ive always had protected sex (condom) up until i got with my wife. she had an hiv test and she was fine. we are both disease free and intend to keep it that way.

I don't get tested for either, I'm married and we are both faithful so there's no need.

Married and faithful; the way it should be if you are having sex. Worry free living. Instead of getting checked for HIV, I get checked for Cholesterol.

Peace.

I'm very paranoid about such things so I get checked every 3 months. I don't sleep around, but I've always been worried that my partner will cheat on me!

I go once a month. NO i dont sleep around with different men actually I haven't had sex in forever=(, but I rather be safe than sorry. Some times it take a few month for something to show up in your blood test.

Also I have over 1000 hours and 6 years volunteering at a Aids clinic in my city, My moms the Director of Human Resource. Its The best thing that I have gotten in to.

I was able to experience a million and one things from helping in the office to doing the AIDS walk or being at the front desk checking in people for there doctors appts.

I was able to get wee educated on each STD out there at a younger age.

Once a year, but I should go every six month. I am in a relationship for the past 4 years and I have never cheated. But you can never be too certain what the other person is doing.
If a person start a new relationship both people should go get tested before having sex. You can't look at a pretty face and think that they are okay and you should not take that person word for it, they might not know themselves if they have an STD. It's all fun and games until you find out that you have one. People should take their health more seriously.
