HIV test on aborted fetuses? |
When a woman gets an abortion the fetus is sent to the lab for testing for abnormalities...what are they testing for? is it std or hiv? cancers? i always wanted to know If the pregnancy was terminated because there was a problem with the baby, sometimes they are tested after for suspected abnormalities. Most likely they would be genetic testing. I have not heard of post termination HIV testing. Who told you that? I never knew they conducted tests on aborted fetuses. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I dont think anyone would be sending their aborted fetues off for checks, they were aborted because they were unwanted in the first place, I dont think they would care if they had aids etc. Any time anyone has surgery, any tissue that is taken out of the body has to go to "the lab." It is actually a pathology lab, and they look under the microscope at any tissue taken out of anyone. This is just a standard procedure. Every aborted fetus must be tested to make sure it all came out. this usually means piecing it back together (arms, legs, etc) and making sure there are no missing parts. If part of the fetus is left in you, you will start hemorrhaging and could bleed to death if you don't get proper medical care. |
