What does it mean if someone doesn't want to take an HIV test ?

Iv'e been dating this girl for 3 months and we've never had sex. About a month after we first started going out i asked her to tak an HIV test with me. I went and took one and showed her it came up negative but she refused to take one. I have asked at least 10 times since then and she doesn't to take one. every time I ask her she tries to change the subject or sshe says that there is nothing wrong with her. She says things like the test I showed before was a fake. She also say things like " if I have anything i got it from you " then she would hang up the phone. she would always hang up the phone when I asked her that question. What do you guys think ? Does it sound like she has it or not ?

She sounds very immature and selfish.

If she refuses to be tested...not just for HIV but for all STDs, then I think you know how much she values the "relationship".

My advice to you is to end the relationship. I would never date anyone who would not agree to be tested. It's in the best interest of both parties involved.

As to whether or not she has it, without being tested she won't know. There is no logical way she can say absolutely that she does not have it. Obviously, she doesn't know and is scared to find out one way or the other.

Cut your losses...and find someone else who will take your feelings into consideration. You deserve better than that.

It sounds like you have a big problem. She might have some thing. And just does not what to tell you. My sister got a disease from a guy who just would not get a test. She found out later that he gave her a STD. Lucky it was one that could get treated with meds. If she will not take the test. All you can do is keep test your self. Every few months. On the save side. I all was get my boyfriends checked on. And my self. We go in at the same time. It makes them fell better about them selves. And they know I was not tell in a lie to them. And they fell better to about them selves.

i dunno, but i applaud you for being completely responsible and urging her to be so too........she may be scared to take it even if she doesn.t have it......but the only person you can trust 100% is urself.......maybe...

Perhaps she is really afraid of needles. Have you asked her why she doesn't want to take one?

I think this girl is trying to hide something and it doesn't look good.

If she really cared for you and your health, she would take that test. Ditch her - if she cannot be upfront and honest and *may* even put you at risk, she isn't worth it.

she is scared shitless maybe someone in her past is scaring her that it is actually catching up with her did you ever ask her why she wont be tested, i feel if a person wont be tested they either know they have something or are afriad they do, find a new girlfriend, and stay clean

get rid of the grimmy *****! if she doesent want to take a test for you, than she isnt worth it! tell her the only way u sleep with her is if she takes a test. If she refuses it was never meant to be....

Maybe she doesn't want to have sex with you. Maybe she is HIV+
Bottom line, are you willing to have sex with her to prove her status?
