Ever feel scared when taking an HIV test?

Or have you guys ever had an HIV test?

Thanks Bonny Roque. You rock.

It was the scariest thing I have ever done. I thought my heart was going to pound through my chest. But, when he told me to have a great weekend and I was fine I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face for a whole day.

no

i never had one but i dont think theres a reason to be scared

I haven't but seriously, it sounds scary.

I think there is always a little fear of it. You just never know. Especially if you've had more than one partner. I think it would be foolish to NOT be a little nervous about it.

I've had 2. The first one I was very scared. I was tested when I left my husband..I knew he was cheating on me. The second time was not so bad..I was tested for that and everything else when I was pregnant.

I was scurred to death my friend....

No and No. I've only had sex with 2 people and both were virgins.

IT'S OKAY TO FEEL NERVOUS IT'S NORMAL BUT YOU SHOUL TAKE IT

I never had one, and don't fear one. I feel badly for you younger guys that have to worry about that kind of thing.
Protection is key.

Yes. I was in many high risk situation in my life before I met my last wife. That was 20 years ago and I was working in a hospital at that that time. She was a virgin and after a 2 year courtship we decided to marry. The lab did the required blood tests and I ask that I be tested at that time. The risky behavior had stopped 4 years prior but I learned that the HIV virus can lay dormant as long as 15 years.
The doctor who read the report and give me the results told me "I have some good news and some bad news" The pounding of my heart filled the room. "The bad news is, if you're planning to have kids, your lady should get a shot for mumps" " Oh, and that's also the good news" :>)

Sorry, I have no advise I never took a HIV test, i'm just 8.

nope.
saving it for the sacrament of marriage. so Im not worried about stds.

I have had 3 within the last 6 years. Everytime I am scared but never been positive.

I think its perfectly normal to be scared when you're waiting for the results to a HIV test. Is scary. If it comes back positive then it's going to mess up the rest of your shorten life.

of courseit's scary! my boyfriend cheated on me, and i didn't know how many other hoochies he slept with, so i got tested (negative thank God!) for future reference, you should be more careful who you're messing with, cuz even the cleanest most unexpected people can be infected with ANYTHING -and YOU DON"T KNOW!! i would suggest both partners getting tested before fooling around.

I'm not a guy. When I was waiting for the results in '97 I was scared because I had had unprotected sex but everything turned out OK thank God. Be careful who you sleep with and protect yourself.

I've taken a few, but never scared because I don't involve myself in risky behavior.
Honestly, I would relish having AIDS, as I'm ready to kick off.

I had a couple and let me tell you, I thought I was going to have a stroke waiting for the results.

You start just assuming you're positive. Your body even gives you these psychosomatic sensations that really make you believe you're sick.

But once they tell you you're negative, the air immediately smells fresher, you have an extra pep in your step and you can conquer the world.

Don't worry. It's natural to feel petrified. It's your life we're talking about here. But, I give you credit for getting tested. As you can see from the responses, a lot of people don't.

Good luck and be safe.

no

always !!!!

No! I don't need to be scared, (Why) Because only if i was sleeping around witch I'm not, what about my husband the kind of job he's got....he got to take the HIV test every year.
Best wishes and good luck

yes. during college. absolutely. if you haven't been careful 100% of the time you are running a risk.

I used to get nervouse... i don't anymore.
