Tell me that if anyboy wants to go for HIV test than what kind of test doctor will recomand? |
& how much timing it will take i mean normally ,how can i know that one having hiv through hie /her some symtomes You can be tested for HIV at your local health department..generally cheaply. Depending on the style of test, they will either take blood from your arm or use a rough q-tip to scrape tiny cells loose from inside your cheek(doesn't hurt). The test results will be back in a couple of days. You can call a 1-800 number to get your results. You should be tested again 6 months from the first test. there is window period (i.e. if the person is infected then to get the positive result ,one has to wait for atleast 13 weeks or 3 months, Usually average period for hiv detection is 6 weeks in an healty person but upto 90 to 95 % ppl are get detected by 3 months. And the length of a window period depends on the the type of exposure one had because sometimes the hiv virus hide itself in the lymph glands and it takes time to come into the blood stream. Exceptionally, it may take around 6 months to get the true test.) Most answers are good. |
