Do the Marines do an HIV test before deploying to Iraq? |
I had unprotected sex with a female Marine who is now in Iraq, and was wondering if they do an HIV test before they deploy? Sounds unamerican to me, buddy. Why? If you want an HIV test, get yourself tested! I have heard that they do I dont know about before, but I do know they get tested after every deployment-no matter where they were deployed to. |

It depends on the amount of risky behaviour (unsafe sex, sharing needles) that you engage in. I always suggest that people are tested annually with their physical (ask for testing) regardless of... the same thing happened to me a few years ago. i went to a plasma center and was told the same thing, however a few days prior to that i had been to the dr. so i called them up to ask about it and ... I had to deal with your same situation a week ago...I got my result yesterday, thanks God negative..the only thing I can tell u it's that the worst part is to wait...after you done it you will... oh man.........the cost of having HIV is ...........your life.......n what less?........ God help you .... ...yes you need second opinion and always use a condom ...what makes you think they reused a needle? If you think you may have HIV as a result of them using a bad needle then you would have to have a HIV test in 3 months as that blood test will not sho... Yes. It is a good first step if you are "not sure". Remember, no matter what the results, you should go to a clinic and get a blood draw. ...3 to 6 months, you can go in 3 months and then go back in 6 months to be sure ... |
