I took the test 8 times and came out negative its only been 2 months is it hiv or kidney infection?

i am paranoid because i had sex with a girl 2 months ago and the condom broke and i don't know her status. i have been ill for about a month i am just recovering from typhoid i was taking antibiotics for about 3 weeks. I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck now and my tongue is yellow before it was white. i have a mild cough and have sharp pains in my head. i also have abdominal and back pains and the side of my stomach also hurts i have been passing urine alot. i get fatigue sometimes too. i took the last hiv test yesterday which is day 55 and it still came out negative. they say my wbc is adequate and moderate but found some protein and wbc in my urine. the wbc count was 8-10/hfp. they say i do have an infection but yielded no growth because i was on antibiotics. i am paranoid about hiv but i am hoping its an infection that can be cured. i took a syphilis test which is not out yet too and my hepititis b test came out negative. could it also be a kidney infection, UTI, or stomach ulcer

Good grief. Calm down.
You just said that you are recovering from thyphoid?? Well, hello! YOU HAVE THYPHOID. http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dbmd/diseasein...
You've been tested 8 times in 2 months and you still think the test is wrong.

You should be this OBSESSED about having SAFE SEX.

Well it generally takes HIV up to 6 months to show up in your system so relax. Worrying is not going to do you any good. HIV has other symptoms nothing like what your explaining it probably is just a kidney infection. Next time talk to your partner about these things rather than taking a chance. You should also talk to this girl and see if she has HIV. Anyway good luck and chill out.

This had nothing to do with HIV. After 55 days, you certainly wouldn't have a full blown case of AIDS. You are ill from typhoid! That is a serious illness!!! You have to stop being such a hypercondriac or you are going to cause yourself NEW illnesses. You can convince your body of just about anything, so don't do that to yourself!!

It can take months for someone to seroconvert (become positive) after a possible HIV exposure. I am surprised you had typhoid, as that is a very uncommon disease to just get in the USA. You must have traveled to someplace where it was endemic or drank contaminated water.
That said, fatigue is not an uncommon symptom with any infection, same with the body aches and back pain. Back pain can also be a symptom of a urinary tract or kidney infection. You are also obviously stressed, which is contributing to your symptoms. You are taking antibiotics for your typhoid infection. If you think you have a urinary tract infection, you should drink alot of fluids to help flush out the organism. Acidifying your urine with cranberry juice can also be helpful.
You will need a follow-up HIV test at 6 months and one year to make sure that you have not converted. Given that your exposure came during a broken condom episode, your chances of getting HIV were relatively low. A direct blood exchange would have been riskier (sharing needles). Men tend not to get HIV as easily as women from sexual encounters, unless they had a concurrent STD which cause sores on the penis, like chancres.
Let your doctors continue to work with you about your urinary tract infection and typhoid. You will be okay eventually, if you eat right and rest as well.

well maybe you should ask the girl if she has HIV....you're probably just freaking out over nothing. There is a 6 month waiting period between your first test and the next for HIV. It can take up to 6 months for it to show up. i would check to see if maybe its some side effects of your typhoid meds...

you could be creating all of these symptoms because you are worrying yourself sick. Stop worrying so much and wait a few months before you test again. Dont have sex with woman that you question so much even if its "safe sex" because of this very reason. Consider this to be a warning for future misjudgements.

I think the problem here is that your freaked out. The chances of your contracting HIV is very low from one sexual encouter although not unheard of. You recovering from Typhoid Fever is a more reasonable cause of most of your symptoms. I can only hope that you are still seeing your physician for the symptoms. Typhoid cases in the US are only about 400 a year and most occur outside of the US. Did you travel recently or are you from outside the US? Abdominal pain, headaches, fever, malaise (generalized weakness/fatigue) and decreased appetite are symptoms of typhoid. Have you had a stool sample to confirm that no S. Typhi bacteria remain in your body? If there are, you could be a carrier and can return at any time.

Unless you have cancer and are getting treatment for that or some other immune disorder and you would know if you had one... it is not going to take months for HIV to show up on a test. Most people will know within a month 3-4 weeks after one is infected..... the 6 month rule is so out the window because better tests have been developed since the 80s... a P 24 can detect the virus in about 10 days after infection if not sooner... so 55 days out you are more than fine and HIV is not your problem.... if you are still concerned it is advised by the CDC to have a test at 3 months post the possible exposure that gives plenty of time for anyone with an immune disorder to test positive..... wait till then and test again I'll bet you a new VW that it will be neg :) and dont worry about an infection its October and this is the time when people get sick... one way or another best of luck :) cheers

get tested make sure, i hope you are not but if you are you will still be ok scared at first but you will be ok there is lots of treatments for hiv, i have been pos my self for 13 years it is going to take more then a small virus to put me down.
