can i get hiv infection after 20 months ? i went for relation in apr 2006. he didn't pass any sperm. i went for hiv test in dec. 2006 & feb 2007. it was normal . In july i got viral infection. in nov. 2007 i saw rashes on my tongue. there was muscleache, joint pain. sometime i feel pain in neck ,armpits. recently i had flu.from last two days i have upset stomach. pls help.

If you tested negative after 6 months are longer then the chances of you having contracted the HIV virus on that encounter are very slim.
20 months is unheard of. Also, the symptoms you describe don't appear with sero-conversion but with primary exposure.
So you are highly likely to be in the clear, not that you shouldn't be checked out by your physician for other pathologies based on your symptoms.

Get tested again! Every six months is the recommendation. Nobody on here can tell if you're positive or not.

Doesn't matter if the guy ejaculated or not-- there is pre-ejaculate fluid that can contain the virus. (Do you know that he has HIV?)
