If HIV can't be transmitted through kissing, why is the test done with a light swab in the mouth? |
I wouldn't even french kiss someone without them getting an HIV test. So many people are positive now. Maybe it's because they think they can't get it from french kissing or oral sex, but they can. Most people's gums bleed when brushing their teeth or flossing, so if your mouth is open and you kiss or have oral sex with someone who is infected, you are more likely to get infected. THINK PEOPLE! Stop french kissing so freely and get tested before you perform or receive oral sex on anyone! P.S. - Always, always, always use a condom for oral sex or intercourse with a man! Use a dental dam for oral sex with a woman! You can get HIV from oral sex. Please be careful! Especially teenagers. Lots of teens are getting infected in high school. Please protect yourselves! good point oh my god did someone seriously ask how can antibodies be tested in saliva but the virus can't LOL if you don't understand that don't be preaching on the topic dumbass! Report It I think you answered your own question OK its not in the saliva that aids and hiv is passed its through the blood and sexual fluids like vaginal fluids and seminal fluids the swab is testing for the SIGN of hiv NOT the contagian get more education of the subject Is this really a question, or your opinion? The swab is testing for antibodies produced by your own body to fight off HIV... not testing for HIV because it's laying dormant in your mouth or something... the only way you're going to catch HIV from frenching is if two members have open sores in their mouth, or bleeding gums. |
