What happens during an HIV test?? |
I'm just wondring what happens when you go take an HIV test thanks in advanced You just ususally give blood and they either 1) do a rapid test and let you know your results or 2) send the blood away and you have to wait a week for results. (this is the norm) In either case you usually have to sign a waiver of confidentiality.... meaning they want to know what number etc to call w/ results. Good luck to ya! They draw your blood. That's pretty much it. You get the results in a few days or a week or however long it takes. There are 2 different tests, the blood test and the oral swab. If you wait at the clinic you can get your results back in as little as 20 minutes some places. |
