How reliable is pcr hiv test after 27 days?

just want to know about the pcr hiv test and how reliable is it after 27 days.which is like 4 weeks after unprotected sex.anybody let me know

Well now a days the HIV tests are more reliable... if you read around on the internet the articles will say get tested at 6 weeks 6 months and then a year after exposure. The reason there are so many different "opinions" is because the HIV virus is sometimes a slow working virus... your body takes time to build antibodies towards the virus (meaning sometimes your body doesnt realize it has the virus so it doesnt try to fight it)... the doctors dont really test for HIV but they test for the antibodies... the level of antibodies vary from person to person... and can arrive at differnt times... so to be on the safe side I would go back for another test... most people would agree that the most reliable time is 6 months after exposure... talk to your doc about this and good luck!!
