Getting results of HIV test?

I am just about to go get my results for the HIV test. I am so so so nervous. Although my chances of having are relitively low a
i am so scared. I know it's a long shot but anyone have any idea how I can get through the next 2 hours till i get my result?

It came back neagtive thank god what a relief!!!

Hi there,

Try to relax. I know it's difficult but remember, a watched pot never boils. Whenever I find myself in similar situations I try to do things that get me mind off things; I do things that help me get out of me head: walking, meditating, playing pool. Keeping active and busy really does help take your mind of the waiting.

Cheers.

Try not to stress, like you said the chances are relativley low, so hopefully your allclear, just stay calm and prepare for either answer.

Good luck

Put on your headphones and listen to some music - chill out as best you can - Good Luck - hope it's good news - let us know.

Think about how not to get yourself in this situation ever again. Go for a jog and maybe have a cocktail to chill a little

Before going for a test we should get counselling. Being nervous, anxious, will not help the result in the least.
What is: is. Try to calm down. If you can't, then get tired by jumping up and down! Then realise that you chose to know your status and be big about it and proud of your courage to go for a test. If it is too much for you right now, speak to a professional first and get your result later! I had a false negative many years ago. So, If positive, have further testing done. Be positive and think that if a positive jumps at you, it is not the end. I know people who have been positive for over 30 years with no medication and free of problems. And they have great loving relationships. A positive attitude, a good diet and regular exercises will help you. There are many ways to keep up your immunity. If negative, great. If positive, then it might be that you have to learn something from this. You should read as much as you can, even books by N. Patient from South Africa and also books by alternative thinkers like Christine Maggiore. Speak to a doctor and decide what you feel best doing. NLP seems to also work (Neuro Linguistic Programing). Be happy to be alive. Enjoy every second of it and relax. Work on your spirit and love life. Never give up!

Got here a bit late. But glad to hear the good news! Must of been a horrible 2 hours for you!

I know i'm too late to answer your question, but i just wanted to say that i'm so pleased for you that the test was negative!

my congretulations with the negative result.

Very glad to hear you are negative, I assume you are aware that it can take up to 6 months after exposure for the test to become positive, so if your exposure was less long ago than that it is wise to repeat the test.

It also reminds us of that very old expression, if you can't be careful, be good! ( Which used to really mean pregnancy.)

if you was being a good girl you had nothing to worry about congrats
