What consists of a military HIV test? |
When I was in the Marine Corps, I took an HIV test prior to separating. I asked the Corpsman if this test consists of any other STDs, and he said that if I did have something like herpes or whatever, it would've showed up. Is this true? well a herpes test is pretty much a blood test as well, so if they do see anything unusual about your blood then yes they will let you know, but testing for HIV/STD's in the military is just like testing for it if you're a regular civilian. actually herpes is done with a swab because it will not show up on a blood test but everything else is done with a blood test |
