Is it possible for a HIV oral-quick test to be inaccurate? |
I was wondering if someone takes an HIV test and the oral quick (results in 20 min) test picks up that the person shows positive. Can the results pick up something else and thinks that it is HIV?. Like maybe another virus that not as serious. All screening tests are designed to err on the side of positive. Confirmatory tests (Western Blot with HIV) are used to confirm the positive is accurate. no sorry the test is very accurate sorry Doubt it. Don't go into denial. i assure u by ans yes it is possible to get it false positive it can b inaccurate sometimes thats why they do the blood test. |
