WILL AN HIV TEST DETECT AIDS?/ 10 points!!?

i know hiv and aids are different but will an hiv-1 test detect aids or not? state your knowledge and where you got your info from, thanks!

NO! Once you have a positive HIV test, other blood test will be taken to see how much virus is in your system and how many t-cells(the cells that the virus attacks and mutates) your body has. Your are considered to have AIDS once meds no longer help and you have a high viral load and a low t-cell count. AIDS is advanced end stage HIV. So all thought they are "different" they are one in the same.

No, The test tells you if you are positive for the virus that eventually can lead to AIDS if not treated.

AIDS would be the infections that you can get when you are HIV positive. For example, pneumonia. They would then do different tests to find out if you have pneumonia.
