When should I get my next HIV test? |
I took an HIV test on March 11. I tested negative, but I am still scared because its was still within the 3-month period. I'm just a 19yo college freshman, and I want to live a full life. Another reason I'm scared is because I learned about acute HIV infection after getting tested, which has similar symptoms to Hepatitis A, which I was diagnosed with a few weeks ago. Don't hesitate from getting an HIV/AIDS test. It's your health. Your doctor is right, the HIV/AIDS virus takes a couple of months to show up on tests. So you could only be sure if you have it or not after a couple of months after you had sex. If you really don't have it, then it won't show up at all (even after several months). |
