False HIV test results when one has a seasonal allergy? |
Is there any way that an HIV test can prove false (positive) when one has a seasonal allergy? I mean, after all antibodies are produced when one has an allergy or cold for fight off anything, right?? Or will the test differentiate between the two? I actually was going to get an HIV tes, but I have a seasonal allergy right now and fear that it will intervene with the results. SO when do these "ANTI- bodies" come into play??? HIV and allergies are miles apart and one will not show up on any test posing as the other. No, doesn't make a difference. Hmmmm, sounds like you came in positive on an HIV test, or someone close to you came in positive..............a seasonal allergy will not throw off an HIV test...........Good luck, and Good Health |
