HIV test showing positive or negative?

If I had sex with a lady who is infected with HIV and it was before 1 year, If I test for HIV today should It definitely show as positive if I am infected too?

It depends on where you live, it can be as little as 3 months or as long as 6 months, but no more than that. I depends on what your state depratment of health determines the "window period" to be.

HIV doe not lie dormant in your system, you should not be tested every six months for an exposure that was over a year ago. You should be tested 3/6 months after your last exposure. You will not suddenly test HIV positive for something that happened 10 years ago.
