Doxycycline affect HIV oral/swab test? |
I'm taking doxycycline until i get tested for HIV (swab test) it will not affect HIV but it may affect testing for gonnorhea, chlamydia or syphilis. For HIV and syphilis they will test your blood. For other stds they'll take your urine and swab. It won't affect the test. HIV is a virus and doxycycline is an antibiotic against bacterial infections. It definately won't cause a false negative or false positive result. |
