The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center鈥檚 Sexual Health Program offers a range of free HIV testing options accompanied by counseling to reduce your risk of infection. Services are available on a walk-in basis鈥攏o appointment is necessary.
The Center is marking National HIV Testing Day on June 27 by announcing that it now offers at the McDonald/Wright Building one of the world鈥檚 fastest HIV tests. The Uni-Gold Recombigen HIV Test can detect HIV antibodies in a small blood sample in just 10 minutes鈥攁bout half the time of the next fastest test currently offered at the Center.
In addition to the Uni-Gold test, the Center also offers OraQuick tests that provide results in 20 minutes from either blood from a finger-stick or oral fluids collected by a swab.
