HIV test after 48 hrs exposure, i am over panic ,?

Two days before I went to a massage parlor and the co worker given me a hand job
After 48 hrs I did the HIV test shows negative , how accurate the test will be , what you think weather I needs to wait to test again , when is the best time to check again

My be I am paranoid , panic, feeling guilty of the mistake I did
some one pls give me the clear explanation what are the odds , and any case report of Hiv thru safe hand job exposure

You didn't do ANYTHING that would cause you to be infected with HIV.

Paranoid- not the right word, overly concerned, and worried. That's good, it says you care about the other people in your life and you are concerned for your well being and theirs.

To be infected with HIV you would have had to had unprotected sex with the employee of the massage parlor.

On a scale of 1-100 that you would become infected by this is a minus 50. It just could not happen IF the facts are as you stated.

For your peace of mind, 3 months is a good time to retest- but if you don't have sex with a lot of people outside your main relationship you will be fine.

Good Luck!

You cannot get HIV or AIDS through skin-to-skin contact, only through exchange of bodily fluids. HIV also does not survive in saliva.

Oh my god, no one wants to hear about that dude

You may have to do another test, To ease your mind.

what type of massage parlors are you going to?! and where are they... also, the only harmful thing you should be afraid of is anthrax

Praise Allah!

wow what a massage parlor....where do I sign up? haha ok jk...umm unless your co worker had a cut on his hand and tested pos for HIV and your semen came in contact with that cut...you might have contracted it...if not...nothing to worry about....I took an HIV test when I turned 21 and I was so nervous b/c when I came out I was experimenting a bit too much...it came back negative and from that moment Ive been a bit more careful...Im pretty sure you are safe though....

I understand the whole anxiety of might being exposed to HIV. I highly doubt you got anything though! Unless the co worker had cuts on their hand, and was HIV positive.

I have been told by the health department where I get tested, that HIV takes about six weeks to three months to even show up on a test, and then you should get tested again at six months.

You would not get it from a handjob unless she was bleeding profusely. However, it would usually take at least 6 months at a minimum for HIV to be detected in most people, usually it can take years.
