Easy my mind about hiv transmission? |
The other day I took my son to hockey practice. As we walked down the hallway to the dressing room I saw 3 drops of fresh blood. After about 10 minutes my son layed down on the ground to get his gear on. If someone tracked that blood into the dressing room and my son touched it then touched his mouth or eye or something could hiv be transimitted that way?? I know it sounds crazy but I cant stop thinking about it!!! No. He cannot get HIV from the scenario you described. Because: As, said; very unlikely. No. Once HIV is outside the body, exposed to air, it dies within a few minutes. Don't worry. I mean it's possible, but very very very extremely unlikely! I wouldn't worry about it. As I have some hiv friends on pozcupid.com , I know it's possible. |
