Does anyone else agree that...?

engaging in life risking behavior, such as drugs,or drug use that leads to AIDS/HIV or Hep B or C transmission,or criminal activity such as gangs or murder..any such behavior by choice or decision that can lead to early death can be connected to Darwin and his "survival of the fittest" concept?...if you choose to use dirty needles,or drive fast,or carry a gun to commit crimes, arent you risking early death?..and wouldnt this, since you choose this lifestyle, lead us to believe that Darwin was correct?....that only the fittest survive under Nature's selection plan?....

its all by choice.all of it

WELL SAID!! I agree...it opens an entire new line of thought doesnt it?

I agree. However, there are plenty of people out there that do nothing but blame others for misfortune. They're called liberals

I agree. If you make those choices, you will die an early horrible death.

I agree. But it's funny, the Libs only believe in Darwinism when it is used against the religious beliefs of people they don't like. When it comes to saving people who made dumb choices from themselves, they don't seem to believe in it.

Scenario - Car Accident - Drunk driver kills you but survives.

Did the fittest survive? The driver is drinking his life away and you are sober.

Fate is everything. It's nothing to do with Darwinism.

EDIT: Keith Richards alone takes apart the whole theory.

you have posted a theory I have held as true for years.....if you choose risky behavior, you choose to die early...and that fits in with Darwin...the only problem I see is that it doesnt kill them quick enough to prevent their breeding which is something else Darwin postulated...good think though for so early in the morning!!EDIZT: as for being killed by a drunk driver, that just either fate or accident...the question dealt with risky behavior, not accidents...people need to learn to read these questions

Well lets see most of the millionaires and billionaires are drug dealers so what's that say? Survival of the fittest well I would think the farmers would win that one!

Sounds good to me.

Its often seemed to me that the fittest are the most risk-taking of the people out there. They engage in many more deadly sports, like sky diving and mountain climbing and spelunking.
If you live in a violent society, the most violent are the fittest for survival.
Look at Africa, where it tends to be a more primitive war, fought face to face, instead of from planes with bombs.
The fittest are the most brutal, the most violent, the strongest.
We all fought that way at one time, so is it any surprise we still go to war, or fight in gangs or murder?
Those violent tendencies are passed down through the rape of women in war, further assuring that we are a violent breed. Our problems now may come from the fact that we are by breeding now quite violent, in a world that is losing the place for violence to be approved of and encouraged.
