Is Viagra a bad Drug?

#1 Viagra has led to increased sexuality among elder adults and has caused increase in HIV transmission among them.

#2 American/ Western males (mostly White males aged 25 - 40) taking Viagra increase the sex turism in Asia when they take Viagra and fly to Southeast Asia to get some " LOVE YOU LONG TIME" from young girls trapped in prostitution.

#3 OLD PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BE F*CKIN !
If God wanted old people to be sexual, he'd have made it so THEY DIDN'T GET OLD.

#4 Young adults and even teenagers experiment with Viagra even though they are physically healthy. It is a fashion drug.

#5 Why are we funding drugs for people to have increased sexual experiences when CANCER and AIDS haven't been cured and sex drug research only takes away funding from the more important diseases.

Considering how its being abused and misused, YES it is. Frankly I don't think it should be sold to certain people - including young people and it should not be covered by health plans. It should be treated as a recreational drug.

The answer to #5: Drug companies are not looking to cure anything, they are looking to make money.

If they made a "viagra for women" I would totally support it, however being a woman I dont really care either way.

You are so right. Aids is running rampant in the US and other countries and instead of increasing the research on aids they spend money trying to increase the aging populations sex drive. Viagra is not a bad drug its just a waste of the tax payers money.

3) Oh, that is TOO funny! Is it more to your liking that old people should fish or crochet, and keep their hands to themselves?

4) This is the kids' fault, no one else's. It's not up to us to protect those over 18, you know.

5) You might be surprised to learn that drug companies fund their research from the sales of *other* drugs they sell. Do you think it's practical or even reasonable to halt research on everything until we have cured the diseases you hate most?

I don't know a lot about the drug Viagra, but I am a supporter of sex. If my partner expressed concern or insecurity about his libido, I would support the use of the drug.
The argument that viagra makes it possible for men to go to asia and have sex with little girls is crazy. These are sick people you are talking about, and not all of them are old. The use of the drug isn't going to make them any less or more sick. We should be looking for treatment for these individuals rather than playing the blame game with a drug that has been a vital tool in many women's orgasmic experience.
