Hiv through razor blade??

i was recently cut by a razor blade , it has been lying on the office deck and my friend pick it up and try to be funny .

he accidentally cut my hand.

initially my hand didn't bleed at all , but i felt something , after a minutes or so , it start to bleed slightly .. those you have to squeeze in order to have the blood come out.

assuming someone who was Hiv+ was cut by it before me , whats the chance of me being infected this way ?

i read website and all says the only way such transmission could occur is if both users were cut by it in a matter of minutes. does that hold true even if the razor is still slightly wet after several hours etc?

I can understand your concern but honestly you have nothing to worry about. HIV cannot survive outside the human body for any length of time. Its not a bad idea to update you tetanus shot and when you do let them know of the exposure, there are HIV test out there now that give immediate results so they might test you if you are concerned.

becouse The virus can't live out side the body more than minutes.

You are worring over nothing, but if it bothers you that much just take a blood test and even though it will be negative , you will feel better and safer.
Aids can only be past on via fluids such as sperm asnd blood etc.A wet old Razor will not give you the virus...
