What is my HIV risk?

Hi everyone, I'm an 18 year old male who recently had vaginal intercourse with a female of the same age. This was a one time thing and it was kind of a fluke. I had unprotected sex for more or less 4 minutes. I found out later that day that she has had multiple sexual partners (about 10) Now I know that its hard for a female to transmit the disease to a male. I also know that the receiver is more at risk for transmission ( I was not the receiver, she was). We only did it once, and I'm not sure if she is HIV positive or not because when I asked her the first time she said "No" but when I asked her again later she got offended. She's always sick though and suffers from Anemia (a possible side effect of HIV) I'm getting a little paranoid about it even though if she was HIV positive I would only have a 1 in a 1000 of contracting HIV. I might wanna mention that she is NOT a drug user. What do you guys think? Should I be worried?

you poor guy. your worrying yourself sick. relax your more than likely ok and its obvious your well informed. go to your local gum clinic for a test and remember to always use condoms. i know in the heat of the moment its not foremost in your mind and theres nothing sexy in putting them on but i'm with my fella 2 years and its worth it!!!!
the chances of you having it are pretty slim and if she was hiv positive she'd legally be obliged to inform you. so relax enjoy life and play safe.

1 in 2 people aquire hiv every hour of every day and night thats statistics Report It

If you're so freaked out get tested and next time wear a condom

I wouldn't be too worried, but lesson learned!

No way of knowing besides getting tested. So go!

Ask magic he would know

it only takes one time dude just go get a blood test

I think that you need to go get tested. The odds mean nothing if you contracted it. There is only one way to know. It only take one partner and one time to get ANY std.

You need to be tested for multiple things as many stds have no symptoms until they start reekign havoc on your body one day.

I hope you learned your lesson.

Donating blood to get tested is a horrid idea! You have to be retested 6 months and encouraged to a year after contact because it may not show up right away. Donating blood when you could be infected puts other at risk.

Save your worries get a test

teenagers are the highest at risk. DON'T EVER HAVE SEX WITHOUT A CONDOM. and stay away from hoochies.

You shouldn't have followed the liberal way of life, or used a woman that you haven't already married.

The question is, are you sorry that you went to the race track or sorry that you're worried about the losses, or risks of going?

Have you learned anything?

You can get a HIV from getting in contact with someone else blood. If you have a sexual afair it could happen.

Go take a blood test, it will put your mind at ease.

I hate to say this, but go donate blood they have to test for HIV, but don't disclose you are having your blood drawn for HIV because they will ask.

Just remember you can contract HIV even without penetration and it doesn't matter how long you are 'in' for, it could happen all the time, protected or not.

If I were you though I would just go get a physical and get tested for all diseases especially if you suspect that she has been 'around'. You could spread something to your new partner, and why would you want to do something like that?

CHILL OUT! People have unprotected sex all the time. It's not a good thing, but I'll use it as an example for this explanation. She's only 18....hopefully she hasn't had more than a couple partners. Girls will ALWAYS be upset if you try to talk about numbers...it's childish..don't do it.

Go have a test done at the dam clinic and find out so that you'll just chill out. WEAR condoms from now on. And encourage her to as well...hell tell all of your friends to.

Do not embarrass the girl.

I'd be worried. You must remember that when you had sex with her you basically had sex with the 10 men she had also. and you don't know anything about their history.

You better get tested! 4 minutes or 10 seconds, it doesn't matter. A virus does not need too much time to transfer and don't be lulled because you are not the recipient. You ARE at risk!

it doent matter who u are or anything if she has it then u have a real good chance of getting it ..........................YOU SHOULD HAVE USED A CONDOM..............but anyway so she has had several partners but that dont mean nothing she could have used a condom with them .....do u know if she did? and on the other had just cause she is sick doesnt mean she had it my cousin stayed sick all the time and she finally got over it but she was a virgin ......if you worry about this stuff all the time ...use a condom all the time or just dont have sex........go get tested....

Probably not, however, if you are unsure then you should go get tested.
