What are the chances of transmitting HIV in these circumstances? |
If two people live together, one is HIV positive and the other is HIV negative, and they refrain from sexual contact is their a risk of transmission? I mean, as long as one doesn't bleed directly on the other, can the two do things like touch each other's dirty laundry and share the same bathroom without any transmission risk? In addition to the parameters you've already defined, as long as personal items aren't shared, the chances are zero to none. I wouldn't worry about that. I wouldn't use his toothbrush or razor, but otherwise, you should be fine. You can't get HIV from casual contact. It is only transmittable in blood or body fluids. It's OK to do laundry, share a bathroom, etc. there is no risk unless body fluids come in contact. dont sahre razors, toothbruhes or nail clippers. if you both hav acne dont use the same towel until you wash it. google HIV/AIDS and you will find a ton of helpful info. |
