Are there any cases of child-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS in the kindergartens? |
Are there any cases of child-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS in the kindergartens? Virtually zero. The AACAP has this to say on transmission. Find that one hard to to believe No if u dont hav sexual relations with that boy. unless there sharing needles or having sex,i wouldnt worry None that I am aware of. The child with HIV would have to be bleeding to transmit the virus. Lots of HIV positive children attend school without any reported cases of child-to-child transmission. Although I've never heard of this kind of transmission, I'm not as quick to dismiss it as the others. If, say a police officer was bitten by an HIV-positive suspect, he'd be put on AIDS meds for several months as a precaution. |
