Are there any cases of child-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS in the kindergartens?

Are there any cases of child-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS in the kindergartens?

Virtually zero. The AACAP has this to say on transmission.

"The HIV virus dies quickly when it is outside the human body. It cannot be transmitted by day-to-day or even close social contacts. Family members of an individual infected with HIV will not catch the virus if they share drinking glasses with the person. There is no known instance in which a child infected with HIV has passed the virus to another child in the course of school activities."

Find that one hard to to believe

No if u dont hav sexual relations with that boy.

unless there sharing needles or having sex,i wouldnt worry

None that I am aware of. The child with HIV would have to be bleeding to transmit the virus. Lots of HIV positive children attend school without any reported cases of child-to-child transmission.

Although I've never heard of this kind of transmission, I'm not as quick to dismiss it as the others. If, say a police officer was bitten by an HIV-positive suspect, he'd be put on AIDS meds for several months as a precaution.
