Are there any known cases of HIV transmission between family members without sexual contact such as siblings?

HIV still carries the stigma of risk and precautions must be followed relating to sexual contact, but what, if any, concerns are valid for family members not having sex with the infected person?

To the very best of my knowledge, no. Only when blood is transmitted from the infected person to another person can this happen. If the infected person is recieving any needle injections, great care must be taken with the used needles. Nurses who have given injections and accidently punctured themselves with the used needles and accidently infected themselves with hepatitis. Of course you need to keep the conditions as antiseptic as possible and keep anyone who is sick far away. I suggest considering a supplement that will boost the immune systems response, namely Germanium. It is a trace element that is found in very small quantities in Siberian Ginseng, Aloe Vera and other sources. However be absolutely sure to ask the opinion of your doctor and other health professionals. You can also check a web site called webmd . One of the best resources for vitamins and supplements is a company called The Vitamin Shoppe . I also recommend that you buy a sublingual brand of this supplement. You hold it in your mouth for a couple of minutes and they dissolve under the tongue and go directly into the bloodstream. This makes it very effective.

HIV ith not only tranthmitted thexually tho I'd yeth.

Any research that I have read about, or viewed emphasizes that it is only transmitted through an exchange of bodily fluids (during sexual encounters), sharing of an infected needle, or through blood transfusions from numerous years ago. It seems that it is not passed through saliva, however, if you give unprotected oral sex (not saying that this is occurring whatsoever) and have an open cut/sore in mouth, there is a question as to whether or not it can be transferred. You can not get HIV from kissing an infected brother/sister on lips or cheek. Don't worry.
